What exactly does this service cover?
OracleTPS, 9:42 AM
Most third party support quotes arrive in different shapes. Different scope. Different SLA wording. Different exit clauses. Different invoicing cadence. We normalise them, score them, and benchmark them so you compare like with like.
Scope of work
Inside this engagement you get:
- Intake of every quote received, including the Oracle renewal quote if available.
- Line by line decomposition into a common scoring grid covering product coverage, SLA, tax and regulatory updates, security patch policy, response times, and exit clauses.
- Benchmark of each line against the market median we hold from over two hundred engagements.
- Identification of pricing outliers and unusual terms that need follow up clarification.
- Written scorecard for each vendor with strengths, weaknesses, and red flags.
- Executive summary slide deck for your finance and IT leadership.
Deliverables you keep
At the end of the engagement you take away:
- Normalised quote workbook with every line item mapped to a common grid.
- Vendor scorecards with quantitative and qualitative scoring.
- Market benchmark report comparing your quotes against our engagement dataset.
- Clarification question log to send back to each vendor.
- Executive summary deck ready for finance committee review.
Who this is for
This service is typically engaged by:
- Buyers who have collected two or more third party support quotes already.
- Procurement leaders who need a defensible written comparison for committee sign off.
- Finance teams asked to validate the savings case behind a vendor choice.
- Buyers comparing an Oracle renewal quote against a third party support alternative.

A few quick questions first.
Can you compare quotes from vendors not in your usual ten?
Yes. The scoring grid is built around Oracle estate coverage and contract terms, not the vendor name. Any credible quote can be compared.
How long does the comparison take?
Two to four weeks from quote intake to executive summary, depending on the number of quotes and the complexity of the Oracle estate.
Will you tell us which vendor wins?
Yes. The scorecards produce a recommended winner with written reasoning. This is the only service where we name a single vendor as preferred, and that preference is always specific to the buyer's situation.
Do you benchmark against current market pricing or historical pricing?
Current market pricing. Our dataset is refreshed every quarter from active engagements. Historical data is held separately for trend analysis.
What if my preferred vendor scores lower than I expected?
We share the reasoning in detail. The scorecard is a tool for decision making. The final choice is always yours. We can rerun the scoring with different weights if your priorities are different from the default.
